Buffalo Hottojet

The buffalo hottojet takes steam from an existing supply and cold water at a low head and delivers a high pressure, high temperature jet of water through any of the various types of nozzles supplied. It can also entrain concentrated liquid detergent through a needle valve attached to the Body Unit and deliver it mixed with the hot jet of water through a Stainless Steel Lance to give a powerful cleaning effect.

The complete equipment comprises of the Body Unit with Overflow Funnel and Detergent Control Assembly, 25 feet (15 metres) of ¾” bore high pressure hot water discharge Hose, Stainless Steel Cleaning Lance with adjustable handles, and a set of three Disc Nozzles consisting of 1 x 0.189” Single Hole Nozzle, 1 x 0.076” 7 Hole Spray Nozzle and 1 x 0.076” 7 Hole Concentric Nozzle.

A Barrel Nozzle, which screws directly into the end of the Hose instead of the Cleaning Lance, is available as an optional extra.

Steam consumption varies from 300 to 450 lb/hour depending on the model and steam pressure with output ranging from 300 to 500 gallons/hour (1362 to 2270 litres/hour) at a discharge temperature of 95°C to 65°C (200°F to 150°F). It should be noted that the higher output occurs at the lower temperature and the lower output at the higher temperature, since the steam consumption is constant and the water input can be varied.

The inlet connections are 1” BSP.

Any steam pressure between 25 and 200 lb/sq.in. can be used to operate the HOTTOJET, with this wide range of pressure being covered by seven models as follows:-

Buffalo Hottojet

  • *use 1 ¼” steam supply if possible
  • The above figures are based on 75°F (24°C) inlet water at a low head, and 0.189” diameter single hole disc nozzle.
  • For a lower inlet temperature the steam pressure can be higher, say 1 lb/sq.in. increase for 1°F decrease. This will give increased capacity and increased discharge pressure.
  • Alternatively, for higher inlet water pressure the steam pressure can be slightly higher, giving an increased discharge pressure.
  • All components of the HOTTOJET system are available separately, also a full range of spares. The Steam Spindle and Jet is supplied as a pre assembled unit.
  • Apart from HOTTOJET’S and spares, we also supply Hose Reels that are an integral part of the plumbing system and not simply a device for storing the hose line.
