Series 60 PA

These water operated liquid Ejectors (elevators) in unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride are tough, inert, non-contaminating; have low thermal conductivity, and are suitable for operating temperatures up to 65°C.
They are used for pumping most acids and other corrosive fluids, including Nitric and Acetic Acids up to 60% concentration.
Operating pressures recommended are between 1.4 and 2.8 bar (20 to 40 psi), but higher pressures may be used.
The ratio of entrained to motive fluid is normally in the region of 1:1, but this will decrease as the suction lift or discharge head becomes greater. The discharge head should not be more than 25% to 30% of the motive water pressure.
With motive water at 3 bar (40 psi), a suction lift up to 7 metres (24 feet) may be obtained.
Connections are not screwed; they are left plain for solvent jointing.
To maintain the water seal during operation, the discharge piping must be arranged so that it is completely filled by motive water by inserting a bend or other slight restriction.
