Series 60 PA

  • These water operated liquid Ejectors (elevators) in unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride are tough, inert, non-contaminating; have low thermal conductivity, and are suitable for operating temperatures up to 65°C.
  • They are used for pumping most acids and other corrosive fluids, including Nitric and Acetic Acids up to 60% concentration.
  • Operating pressures recommended are between 1.4 and 2.8 bar (20 to 40 psi), but higher pressures may be used.
  • The ratio of entrained to motive fluid is normally in the region of 1:1, but this will decrease as the suction lift or discharge head becomes greater. The discharge head should not be more than 25% to 30% of the motive water pressure.
  • With motive water at 3 bar (40 psi), a suction lift up to 7 metres (24 feet) may be obtained.
  • Connections are not screwed; they are left plain for solvent jointing.
  • To maintain the water seal during operation, the discharge piping must be arranged so that it is completely filled by motive water by inserting a bend or other slight restriction.
